What is FlightPath9 Mississippi?

FlightPath9 Mississippi (FP9MS) is a Flight Works Alabama (FWA) pre-employment training program designed to prepare individuals for a position at Airbus Helicopters Facility in Columbus, MS. Through FWA and East Mississippi Community College, students will earn 18 credit hours and a Short Certificate in Aviation Manufacturing Technology.

In addition, students will earn multiple industry-recognized certificates in the following categories: Precision Measuring Instruments, Tools@Height, Mechanical and Electronic Torque, Multimeter, Precision Electrical Termination, and Structural Sheetmetal Assembly.

Early Careers: In 2022, Airbus and Flight Works Alabama developed and launched the FP9 Early Career program. This program is for individuals who are early in their careers and have an interest in beginning a new career in the aviation industry. These classes are offered over a period of ten weeks.

Before an official offer of employment from Airbus Helicopters is granted, everyone must pass a drug test, background check and physical examination.
