Discovery Space is the heart of Flight Works Alabama.
The exhibition area covers every aspect of aviation history, science, design, engineering, manufacturing, and innovation.

Visitors Can
  • Fly an Airbus A320: take off, circle Mobile, and land at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley
  • Navigate a high-tech, unmanned, aerial vehicle through an enclosed obstacle course
  • Take a spacewalk and install a payload on the International Space Station (ISS)
  • Put popular aviation designs to the test in a virtual aerodynamic test chamber
  • Challenge yourself with a rigorous global logistics game
  • Design an aircraft color scheme and paint it in a virtual paint shop
  • Observe real jet engine displays, a landing gear, and flight control surfaces

Flight Works Alabama opened August 4, 2020. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets prior to the visit due to COVID capacity limitations.

  • Ages 10 & up: $13.50
  • Ages 4-9: $9.00
  • Children ages 3 and under receive free admission.

Eurofighter Experience
$3.00 No pre-purchase. Tickets sold at the door and pending availability.
Guests must be 10 years of age or older and at least 48” tall to operate the simulator. Weight limit 300 lbs.

Drone Aviary
$10.00 for 30 minutes of flight. Visitors must bring their own drone.
Flight Works Alabama drones are used exclusively for workshops and special events.

Refunds are available for the Discovery Space Exhibit Gallery only for an administration fee of $2.50 per ticket. These tickets may also be rescheduled.
